Cape Town Tour-The Mother City

A tour of The Mother City which includes visiting the Museums, Company Gardens, Slave House, Signal Hill, Table Mountain via The Waterfront.

 

  The S. A. Museum set in the beautiful Company Gardens is definitely worth a visit. Highlights include the huge Whale Well filled with real whale skeletons, the dinosaur and rock art displays and the fascinating shows at the Planetarium.  

                                                 This is the second oldest building in South Africa, originally a 'slave lodge' and later
the Supreme Court. It is now a cultural history museum with artefacts nonly from Cape Town's history, but also ancient and global civilisation

The old docks have been excellently converted into The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, a very large complex of hotels, 250 stores and 45 different restaurants and bars, cinemas (including IMAX), two craft markets and a truly wonderful aquarium
